FAIRFIELD - The New York man convicted of killing the owners of a Fairfield jewelry store was sentenced to life in prison today without the possibility of release.

A jury convicted Christopher DiMeo, 29, of capital felony and murder in February, but spared him from the death penalty last month.

DiMeo gunned down husband and wife Tim and Kim Donnelly in 2005 during an attempted robbery at their jewelry store.
