HARTFORD - The state Department of Motor Vehicles says major changes are coming to improve customer service.

The DMV has been plagued with issues partly because of a computer system upgrade launched last summer.

Officials say the changes will include consolidating all customer phone lines into a single, streamlined service and improving training for some employees.

The commissioner says they also created a management team to oversee agency projects, such as the online registration system.
