HARTFORD - Drivers in Connecticut can now peel the registration sticker off of their windshield.

New regulations went into effect Sunday that no longer requires cars to have the stickers.

Drivers must still keep a copy of their paper registration in their vehicle.

The move is expected to save the state about $1 million a year.
