HARTFORD - It will be business as usual at Connecticut's Department of Motor Vehicles after computer problems left it unable to process driver's licenses and other IDs yesterday.

The problem also kept the DMV from issuing learning permits and administering written exams.

The DMV says the problem was fixed and things were back to normal as of this morning.

Officials say that they will be open for an extra two hours tomorrow to get licenses, learner's permits or state identification cards at any full-service DMV branch. They have also notified police that ID cards expiring on Sept. 15 and 16 are now valid until midnight tonight.
