NORWALK - Traditional kennels may have some competition in Norwalk.

There is now a luxurious alternative for people looking to board their furry friends. The Pooch Hotel in Norwalk officially opened its doors last month.

At the hotel, dogs can enjoy amenities such as personal dog bowls, a TV and even a webcam for owners to keep watch. Owners looking to board their dogs can choose from standard to presidential and palace suites.

After a long day of playing, pooches can head to the spa for a "pawticure" or facial.

Doggie day care costs $35 a day, while boarding starts at $50.
