BRIDGEPORT - The fifth-generation owner of Wade's Dairy in Bridgeport was one of the lucky few who got to meet President Barack Obama Wednesday.

Doug Wade says he's been on cloud nine since the White House called him last week after he testified in Hartford in support of the minimum wage hike. The president actually referred to Wade's efforts to increase the minimum wage in his speech.

Wade's employees say he pays them above the minimum wage. They are proud that his efforts were recognized by the president. Wade says he was honored that the president would mention him on national TV.
