STAMFORD - An underground electrical explosion rocked downtown Stamford this afternoon after crews tripped a pair of fuses. Police say it happened shortly after 1 p.m. near the intersection of Summer and Oak streets, which were temporarily closed. A CL&P spokesman says workers were repairing an underground line at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported, and the streets have been reopened.
