Dozens of people left homeless after fire

BRIDGEPORT - Many families in Bridgeport are still out in the cold today after a massive fire ripped through their Brooks Street neighborhood.

Flames broke out in a six-family housing unit early yesterday morning. Investigators say it quickly engulfed the house, spreading to multiple neighboring units.

City officials say the Red Cross is helping those affected by the fire to find temporary housing.
