BRIDGEPORT - Officials and K-9 units are trying to track down a driver who fled on foot after crashing into a pole in Bridgeport this morning.

It happened at around 4 a.m. at the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and Bretton Street.

Officials say the accident caused damage to a power line.

United Illuminating was on the scene to restore power.
