EASTON - After years of debate, the site for a Sept. 11 memorial honoring three victims who had ties to Easton was dedicated.
The site, which is outside the town library, was originally denied by the Planning and Zoning Commission, but was later overruled by a vote of the town.
For Lee and Eunice Hanson, who lost their son, his wife and their young daughter in the attacks, they are just glad not have to wonder if a memorial will ever be built.
The committee that is overseeing the construction and upkeep of the memorial has set a fundraising goal of $50,000.
