EASTON - Residents in Easton are coming together to save the police department's K-9 unit.

Hundreds of neighbors have signed an online petition to bring in a new dog after the current one retires, which is expected shortly.

Easton's first selectman says there is enough money in the budget, but no decision has been made.

A meeting to discuss the K-9 unit will be held next month.
