NORWALK - Top Connecticut lawmakers are trying to keep the Social Security office in Norwalk from closing its doors.

The building at 24 Belden Ave. has been home to the Social Security Administration and the IRS for years.

The Social Security Administration plans to close the office at the end of the month.

Senators Joe Lieberman and Richard Blumenthal and Congressman Jim Himes sent a letter to the administration asking it to reverse its decision or delay it.
