BRIDGEPORT - Lawyers say they have filed the first federal lawsuit in the derailment of a train in Bridgeport on behalf of the woman who was critically hurt and is still in the hospital.

The attorneys say Elizabeth Sorensen, 65, suffered severe fractures to her legs, arm and pelvis and has undergone multiple surgeries.

They say she also suffered brain injuries.

She is expected to be hospitalized for months.
