Williams? family says it was a senseless crime on Saturday morning.

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport man is recovering today after he was shot Saturday morning at Marina Village.

According to police, Eugene Williams, 48, was shot in a city public housing complex on Iranistan Avenue. Williams’ family says the man was visiting with friends at the time.

Williams’ family says it was a senseless crime and they are fed up with the violence in the Park City.

Residents say there will be a special meeting Wednesday in Marina Village to talk about safety concerns.
