NORWALK - Norwalk police say a former assistant town clerk is accused of stealing money from the city.

Police say 42-year-old Deborah Troy took more than $3,000 while working in the town clerk's office between 2010 and 2012.

They say they obtained an arrest warrant on Tuesday following an investigation spanning 11 months.

Authorities say Troy turned herself in and was released on a promise to appear in court.
