NEW CANAAN - After yesterday's dramatic drop in oil prices, many are wondering if the price of gas will also go down.

Energy and commodity experts say there are a few simple factors that come into play here, affecting the prices of oil and gas, but they are not always linked.

They say the strengthening dollar brings the price of oil down, as does the increasing number of unemployed Americans.

Energy risk manager Peter Beutel says there's no conspiracy among the wealthy to keep gas prices up and they will be going down in the days ahead.

Experts say drivers could be looking at a decrease in gas prices of up to two cents per day until the end of the month.
