FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield American Little League team returned home today from Williamsport, Pa. with much fanfare. The boys were eliminated from the tournament, but not before playing several games on national television and competing against the top teams in the country. The squad was welcomed with a police and fire department escort, with a massive crowd greeting them on the Sherman Green. Each player and coach will be individually honored at the town's Board of Selectmen meeting next month.
