FAIRFIELD - One church in Fairfield invited an animal to help celebrate Palm Sunday.

Gideon the donkey appeared at the Presbyterian Church of Fairfield, much to the amusement of children within the congregation.

Gideon was born last year on Easter Sunday.

He is a Nazarene donkey, a type named for Jesus' home town. They are distinguished by a cross-like mark along the back.
