Fairfield crews out in full force for storm

FAIRFIELD - A significant amount of snow fell across Fairfield today, but officials say early preparations helped ensure everything went smoothly. The Department of Public Works director says the roads were pretreated yesterday, which helped crews get a jump on clearing the snow today. Thirty large trucks and about 15 smaller ones were out salting and plowing. Public schools were dismissed early today due to the storm.
