BRIDGEPORT - Court officials say the owner of a deli in Fairfield has been sentenced to nine years in prison for cheating three elderly people out of money.

Police say Carmella Jamshidian stole more than $200,000 from a blind and learning-disabled man and his two sisters.

She owned CJ's Deli on Kings Highway Cutoff.

Officers say she befriended the siblings after she overheard them talking about an inheritance they were due to receive.
