Fairfield eviction notice spurs online petition

FAIRFIELD - The family members of an elderly Fairfield woman facing eviction are speaking out after neighbors organized an online petition in support of her case. Peter Kantorowski, who owns the home on Flax Road, has filed an eviction notice against his 98-year-old mother, Mary. He says he is concerned about her well-being and poor living conditions. Residents filed the grievance using Change.org, saying they hope to raise enough money to cover her legal expenses. Kantorowski's younger son, Jack, says his mother will not leave home without a fight.
