FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield Fire Union has finally agreed on a new contract.

The contract expired back in the summer of 2010.

Officials reached an agreement last night with a unanimous vote.

The department was able to keep their retirement benefits, but it did make some concessions.

The contract runs through June 2013.
