FAIRFIELD - Members of Fairfield's fire department are testing out their newest boat this week.

Officials spent yesterday launching the vessel which is called Marine 28.

It is dedicated to late fire chief David Russell Jr.

Officials hope all members of the department are trained to use the boat in time for the town's fireworks show on July 4.
