FAIRFIELD - Police are investigating after vandals caused $30,000 in damage to a home in Fairfield.

Police say it happened within the last week at 73 Rhode Island Ave.

They say the front and back doors had been kicked in and the locks and moldings were damaged.

The water heater and copper piping was also stripped, causing excessive water damage.

Police say they don't know who caused the damage, but the homeowner recently evicted a tenant.
