FAIRFIELD - A Fairfield father is recovering after police say his 26-year-old son attacked him yesterday.

Authorities say Scott Luciani arrived at his parents? house unannounced, threatening to kill both of them when his father refused to let him inside the couple's home on Woods End Road.

Police say the father went outside to confront his son and the two exchanged blows. Luciani made his way inside the home to approach his mother and the father then stepped in to protect his wife, according to police.

The parents tell News 12 Connecticut that they both had a restraining order against their son stemming from a similar incident in September.

Police say the father's injuries were minor.
