FAIRFIELD - Police say a Fairfield man was hospitalized today after running up and down the streets wearing only a T-shirt.

Paul Sopek, 50, was heavily intoxicated and incoherent at the time of the incident, according to authorities. Employees inside a day care center near the corner of Greenfield Street and Old Stratfield Road spotted the man and called 911.

Police say officers have responded to Sopek's home more than 100 times in the past nine years. Authorities believe Sopek will not be charged.
