FAIRFIELD - A Fairfield man says he plans to work through the end of the year but then he will retire and take a golf trip to Hawaii after winning $3 million in a Connecticut Lottery instant game.

Lottery officials say Dean Buitler said he decided to take the lump sum option.

And he is spreading the wealth since he reportedly bought the Royale instant scratch-off ticket at the Stop & Shop on the Post Road in Westport.

The store gets a check for $3,000 from the CT Lottery.
