FAIRFIELD - Fairfield fire officials are investigating an overnight blaze that damaged a home on Chatham Road.

Firefighters say they were called out to the single-family home at around 4:30 a.m. and found flames shooting through the roof with heavy smoke billowing out.

Assistant Fire Chief Chris Tracy tells News 12 Connecticut the damage was limited.

Tracy says no one was home at the time of the fire and that no firefighters were injured.
