FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say $20,000 worth of items were stolen from a Verizon store on Kings Highway.
Authorities say the incident happened Thursday at around 6 a.m. The door was smashed in and around 300 products were taken, including iPhones and tablets. The burglary coincides with the release date of the newest iPhone model, which police say the thieves were possibly targeting.
Either way, investigators may be able to track the stolen products using their serial numbers.
