FAIRFIELD - Four people were arrested after a botched drug deal at Highwood Park in Fairfield last night, according to police.

Police say three people came to the park to buy about $500 worth of marijuana, with plans to rob the drug dealer they were meeting. According to authorities, one of the suspects pointed a pellet gun at the dealer after trying to use fake money to pay for the drugs. The alleged dealer fled and later called police about the robbery.

Authorities say they discovered the pellet gun by a nearby house.

The suspects are expected in court next month on drug and robbery charges.
