Fairfield police ask for public's help in finding Southport house robbery suspect

Police in Fairfield are asking the public for help in finding the suspect responsible for breaking into a home in Southport.

FAIRFIELD - Police in Fairfield are asking the public for help in finding the suspect responsible for breaking into a home in Southport.

Investigators say the suspect was caught on surveillance video around 2:30 a.m. on June 27. They say the suspect made off with a collection box with thousands of dollars inside. The family says the money was intended for a cancer charity.

The surveillance video was circulated to other law enforcement agencies with no luck. Now, officials are hoping the public can help catch the thief.
