STAMFORD - Police in Stamford say they were able to identify and arrest a recent bank robbery suspect thanks to the help of Fairfield police.

According to police, Janseen Lewis held up the TD Bank on Summer Street Friday. During the robbery, police say Lewis also threatened to blow up the bank. However, he told police after his arrest that he did not have a bomb.

Authorities say Fairfield police recognized Lewis’ picture from an incident in their town. Lewis, who made off with $5,000, was later captured by Stamford police. Some of that money was recovered from Lewis’ car.
