FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police are asking for your helping catching the suspects who robbed two elderly women.

Police say a couple, posing as contractors, recently swindled an 89-year-old woman out of $200 and a 95-year-old woman out of more than $16,000 worth of jewelry.

Police say the couple convinced the woman to open her safe, so they could check for damage from a leak.

They say when she wasn't looking, the thieves stole expensive jewelry.
