FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police are searching for a pair of armed robbers who held up the 7-Eleven on the Post Road.

The robbery happened in the Southport section of town at around 8:30 p.m. last night.

Police say one man pointed a gun at the cashier while the other jumped over the counter and grabbed cash.

Officers don’t know if the suspects escaped the scene on foot or in a car.

Another 7-Eleven in town was recently hit in a similar robbery, but police say they don’t believe the two crimes are connected.
