Fairfield police probe attack, robbery of 2 teens

FAIRFIELD - Two teenagers were attacked and robbed in Fairfield last night, police say.

Authorities say the two victims were taking a walk down Figlar Avenue at around 10 p.m. when three men in a car pulled up alongside them and attacked, punching one of the teens in the face.

Police believe the robbers were after a cigarette and a cell phone.

Police say it's possible the victims knew their attackers.

The mother of one of the victims says she's relieved her son wasn't seriously hurt.

So far, no arrests have been made, and police say they don't have any suspects.
