FAIRFIELD - Police have released 911 recordings from a sophisticated jewelry store robbery in Fairfield.

Authorities say the armed suspects, disguised with hooded sweatshirts and ski masks, broke into Lenox Jewelers on Black Rock Turnpike last night. Before heading to the store, they allegedly kidnapped store employees in Meriden, forced them to open the shop and the safe and then made off in a BMW belonging to one of the victims.

Investigators eventually found the vehicle on Mill Plain Road in Fairfield. They also add that no one was hurt in the ordeal.

Anyone with information on the suspects' whereabouts is urged to call the Fairfield Detective Bureau at 203 254-4840.
