FAIRFIELD - Police in Fairfield are trying to track down the suspect or suspects who bashed in at least 10 mailboxes in the Greenfield Hill section of town this week.

Investigators say the mailboxes were hit sometime Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

Homeowners in the area say it's something that they have to deal with every spring. Many residents are frustrated with having to replace their mailboxes year after year, and some residents are blaming it on bored teenagers.

Police agree, and they say they believe local high school students are behind the mailbox destruction.

Fairfield police are asking residents to check home surveillance videos and to look for discussions on social media sites to help them identify any suspects.
