FAIRFIELD - The snow meant a day off for most students in the region, but students in Fairfield had to tough it out and go to class.
Parents had mixed reactions to the decision to have a regular school day at Fairfield public schools.
Some told News 12 Connecticut they were concerned about their children riding buses to school on slippery roads. Others said the district made the right decision, and that the road conditions were not that bad.
Fairfield Superintendent Dr. David Title wrote in his blog that the district uses the best available information when deciding whether to cancel school. The district remained open when it appeared there would be no problem getting students to and from school.
Public school students in Bridgeport also had a full day of school today.
