FAIRFIELD - Many Fairfield Beach residents are furious over what was left in the wake of last weekend's "Clam Jam" run by Fairfield University students.

About 1,500 students showed up, despite a 250 person capacity limit put in place years ago by the neighborhood association.

Police say they shut down the event and made 36 arrests, but residents say the damage had already been done.

Police say they're investigating reports the party was sponsored by Red Bull and that a local cab company was being used to operate a shuttle service.
