FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say they have issued a ticket for distracted driving to the driver of a school bus filled with kids that crashed into a utility pole yesterday afternoon.

Police say the driver told them he lost control of the bus after reaching for his cell phone, which had fallen off his belt. The driver slammed into a utility pole on Burr Street, snapping the pole in half and sending live wires down on top of the bus.

Police say no one was hurt during the incident.
