Fairfield shops hope to wine & dine customers

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield merchants are hoping free gourmet goodies will be their ticket to a holiday business boom.

Four Fairfield shops, Swim N' Surf, Fairfield Center Jewelers, Teagee Jane's and Capri Women?s Boutique have teamed up and are offering free wine, champagne and hors d?oeuvres to customers.

The Boston Post Road shops are also trying to draw customers in with a 20 percent off sale.

?Our hope is to target people to connect and bring back a little feel of a small town,? Robert Sussman, of Fairfield Center Jewelers, says.
