FAIRFIELD - Fairfield University students took part in the school's annual Clam Jam this weekend.

School officials moved the party to Penfield Beach this year after complaints of noisy and drunken students.

An estimated 1,500 students made it out to enjoy the festivities.

Fairfield police, university public safety and private security officers were present to ensure the crowd did not become unruly.
