FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police had an increased presence at all schools today.

They said this was not the result of any threats but simply a proactive measure regarding the anniversary in Newtown.

It was three years ago today that 20 first-graders and six educators were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

In Fairfield, there was a townwide emergency response and school lockdown to a hoax call in October.
