Family, friends mourn Bridgeport murder victim

BRIDGEPORT - Funeral services were held this morning at the Baker-Isaac Funeral Home for Darrel Geyer, who police say was murdered at his home on Wood Avenue last week.

Geyer, 35, was shot in the head while he was at home watching his 14-month-old daughter, Dominique. The child, who was unharmed, was the only witness to the murder, and police are still looking for his killer.

He was remembered as a great man who loved his family. His widow, Monique, said while she is mourning the loss of her husband, she is thankful her daughter wasn't hurt. She added she is now focused on moving forward, and making sure Dominique remembers her father.

No arrests have been made in Geyer's murder and police are asking for anyone with information to call them at 203-581-5100.
