NORWALK - Connecticut residents are mourning the loss of two men killed in a crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway in New York Sunday morning.

Bruno Vaccarezza, 19, of Cos Cobb, and Vincent Mendozza, 20, of Norwalk, were killed in the crash.

Vaccarezza's girlfriend says he was a friendly and caring person with tons of friends. Authorities say Vaccarezza was driving the vehicle, but his girlfriend says he shouldn't be blamed for the incident.

Mendozza's family says they got the call about the crash over the weekend and were completely shocked. They spent today making funeral plans for him.

Mendozza's uncle says the man had a new baby and a promising career working on cars ahead of him.

Police are trying to figure out what caused the crash, but say speed may have been a factor.

A vigil will be held for the two men at 8 p.m. tomorrow at 13 Edith Lane.
