STAMFORD - A hit-and-run victim from Stratford is still recuperating after suffering traumatic injuries in November.
Adam Diaz was hit by an SUV on Thanksgiving Day while walking on the Derby-Shelton Bridge with a friend, causing severe injuries to his lower body. His left leg had to be amputated and he has undergone multiple surgeries.
Police arrested 22-year-old James DePalmer of Derby, who they say fled the scene but later turned himself in.
