WILTON - The family of a Wilton cheerleader who sustained permanent injuries during team practice has filed a lawsuit against her coach and the Wilton football league.

The lawyer of the girl, only 12 years old, says that the coach and league allowed the team to do stunts beyond their capabilities.

The lawsuit says that in 2009 the girl was thrown into the air and then fell to the ground, breaking her right elbow and arm.
