Family of sex assault suspect frustrated

WESTPORT - The family of a suspect in a sexual assault in Westport says they're frustrated at the treatment their brother has received.

Kevin Larkin, 44, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree sexual assault in connection with the incident last month at his parents' home.

Larkin's lawyer, Robert Berke, says he doesn't understand why his client was labeled a fugitive by Westport police before he turned himself in.

Berke says he was in constant contact with police about his client. Police say they were right to call Larkin a fugitive because they had an arrest warrant and no knowledge of his whereabouts.
