NORWALK - Family members and friends of two Greenwich librarians killed in a January hit-and-run crash sought answers about the suspect Saturday.

Relatives of Kate McClelland and Kathy Krasniewicz demanded to know why Sandra Lee Jacobson, the woman accused to hitting and killing them in the Denver crash, was on the road after records show she repeatedly violated her terms of probation.

Tests from the night of the crash show Jacobson, who had a previous drunken driving conviction, had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit. Authorities say there are also documents stating Jacobson allegedly drank, used cocaine and broke the rules of an alcohol treatment program during her probation.
