Fast-moving fire destroys Milford home

Fire officials say a fast-moving fire Tuesday night destroyed a home on Ardmore Road in Milford. The flames broke out at around 9 p.m.

Officials say the fire started in the garage and spread to the upstairs bedrooms.

MILFORD - Fire officials say a fast-moving fire Tuesday night destroyed a home on Ardmore Road in Milford.

The flames broke out at around 9 p.m. Officials say the fire started in the garage and spread to the upstairs bedrooms.

Five people were inside the home at the time, but no injuries were reported, according to officials.

News 12 is told the home is owned by Doris Argust, the matriarch of her family. Her daughter, granddaughters and great-grandchildren still frequently visit her.

The displaced family is receiving help from the Red Cross, but say they are unsure what will happen to the house.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for those who wish to make donations for the family's housing costs.
